Title

Resolution of the City of Pittsburgh to extend the term of existence of the Chartiers Valley District Flood Control Authority.

Body

Whereas, the certificate of incorporation of the Chartiers Valley District Flood Control Authority was issued on January 8, 1962 in compliance with the Municipal Authorities Act of 1945, as amended; and

Whereas, said statutory authority provides, inter alia, that the authority's term of existence shall be fifty (50) years thereby expiring on January 8, 2012; and

Whereas the undersigned member of the Authority desires that the Authority's term of existence be extended because of its ongoing work to help alleviate flooding in the Chartiers Creek Watershed.

Be it resolved and it is hereby resolved as follows:

Section 1.  That the articles of incorporation of the Chartiers Valley District Flood Control Authority issued on January 8, 1962 be amended to extend its term of existence from January 8, 2012 to January 1, 2062.
