Resolution authorizing the filing of an application with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for a $3,000,000 Penn Works grant for the LTV Hazelwood site owned by Almono, LP.  (Council Districts 3 & 5)

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.      The City of Pittsburgh is hereby authorized to file an application with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development ("DCED") for a $3,000,000 Penn Works grant (the "Grant") for the LTV Hazelwood site owned by Almono, LP.

Section 2.      Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") is hereby designated as the City's agent for administration of the Grant and is authorized to draw down funds directly from DCED if such is permitted by DCED.

Section 3.      The City of Pittsburgh does hereby designate Luke Ravenstahl, Mayor, and/or Rob Stephany, Executive Director of URA, as the official(s) to execute all documents and agreements between the City, or URA as agent of the City, and DCED to facilitate and assist in obtaining the requested Grant.
