Title
Ordinance amending the Pittsburgh Code, Title V: Traffic, Article VII: Parking, Chapter 549: Residential Parking Permit Program, Section 549.08 Visitor Permit, by amending the regulations regarding visitors permits; also amending Section 549.02 Definitions, by amending the definition of Certified Resident and Motor Vehicle; and by adding a new Section 549.18 Residential Parking Permit Removal.

Section 1. The Pittsburgh Code, Title V, Traffic, Article VII-Parking, Chapter 549, Residential Parking Permit Program, Section 549.08 Visitor Permit is hereby amended as follows:
549.08 - Visitor Permits
The agency or group designated by the Parking Permit Officers is authorized upon application to issue no more than one (1) visitor parking permit per household or business of residential parking permit areas for use of bonafide transient visitors therein. The visitor's permits shall have all rights and privileges of a regular permit, except that use by the same vehicle shall be limited to no more than three (3) consecutive weekdays in a month unless additional use is approved by the enforcement office.

A certified resident or business operator must register the license plate number to the vehicle of a bonafide transient visitor therein. No more than three (3) visitors per household or business can be registered each day. Once a license plate number of the visitor is registered, the visitor shall have all rights and privileges of a regular parking permit. Each license plate number can be registered up to 18 days within a program year at no charge. After 18 days, there will be a fee of $5 a day for a license plate number registered from 19 days to 28 days within the same residential permit parking program area. After the 28th day, there will be a fee of $20 a day for a license plate being registered 29 or more days within the same residential permit parking program area.
