Resolution granting a vacation of Edlam Way, an unopened paper street from Cornwall Street to Columbo Street, at no cost to the City, in the 10th Ward, 9th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS the OPEN-DOOR PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, the abutting property owner has requested this vacation, at no cost to the City, to allow for the consolidation of his property.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Being all that certain strip of land known as Edlam Way, 20 feet wide, situate in the 10th Ward, City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly right of way line of Cornwall Street, 40 feet wide, and
the westerly right of way line of said Edlam Way, said point being South 63?47'38" East, a
distance of 100 feet from the easterly right of way line of Fannell Street, 40 feet wide; thence
from said point of beginning along said southerly line of Cornwall Street South 63?47'38"
East, a distance of 20.00 feet to a point; thence leaving said line of Cornwall Street along the
easterly right of way line of said Edlam Way South 26?12'22" West, a distance of 236.69 feet
to a point on the northerly right of way line of Columbo Street, 50 feet wide; thence along
said northerly line of Columbo Street North 78?21'08" West, a distance of 20.66 feet to a
point; thence leaving said northerly line along the westerly right of way line of said Edlam
Way North 26?12'22" East, a distance of 241.88 feet to the point and place of beginning.
Said lot or piece of ground containing an area of 6,040 square feet, or 0.139 acres.
Section 2. Since this portion of the right-of-way is presently unopened and unused for street or
pedestrian purposes and the City has no intention to open this right-of-way the Finance Department, in line with Law Department policy, places no price or charge for this vacation.
