Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into a First Amendment to the Agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and Victor Stanley Inc. for litter can monitoring software and hardware components by increasing the total allocation to $380,145.00

WHEREAS, Victor Stanley Inc. provides a software subscription service to monitor the fill level of street litter cans; and
WHEREAS, the City seeks to implement fill level monitoring for street litter cans citywide in an effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the service and free up staff time to spend on other high-priority activities; and
WHEREAS, the City would now like to extend the contract until December 31, 2021 and implement the turn by turn routing module of the software to quickly and efficiently route the crews to pick up the litter cans; and
WHEREAS, the original legislation did not include year 2021 of the software and the routing module;
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Resolution No. 245, of 2017, entitled "The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works, on behalf of the City, are now authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements or amendment to existing agreements with Victor Stanley, Inc. for litter can monitoring software and hardware components. The cost of said agreement or agreements shall not exceed Two Hundred Seventy Four Thousand and Sixty Two Dollars ($274,062.00) over a period of four (4) years and shall be payable from the following account, subject to the appropriation of City Council in respective budget years:
