Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate Mr. Frank Polito on his retirement and appreciate his loyalty to the City of Pittsburgh; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Wednesday, April 19, 2017 to be "Frank Polito Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Frank Polito is ending his 14 year career with Comcast and will be retiring on Thursday, June 29th, 2017; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Polito is a life-long resident of the City of Pittsburgh, currently residing in the neighborhood of Banksville, where he raised his family and will continue to live after retirement; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Polito has been in the industry for 36 years and sold his first cable TV working for Warner Cable to a city resident who resided at Crane Village Apartments in Banksville  in 1981.  During that same year, he sold the late Art Rooney, Sr. Cable TV at Three Rivers Stadium where he was given one of his famous cigars; and,

 

WHEREAS, he began working for Comcast in 2003 and was given the City of Pittsburgh as his territory, which was a dream come true for Frank; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Polito devoted his career to serving the communities in which he worked and always took pride in customer service, committed to helping and serving his constituents.  He treated those he worked with as a friend and they knew they could count on him with any customer issue or neighborhood concerns; and,

 

WHEREAS, not only did he work in Government Affairs, but he was the liaison for Community Affairs and activities throughout the City and region, including the annual Comcast Cares Day; and,

 

WHEREAS, Frank will be spending his free time with his wife and two children, all alumni of Bishop Canevin High School; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate Mr. Frank Polito on his retirement and appreciate his loyalty to the City of Pittsburgh; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Wednesday, April 19, 2017 to be “Frank Polito Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
