WHEREAS, Pat Robinson grew up in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Glen Hazel in 1960; and
WHEREAS, Pat was married to Marion Carter with whom she had four children, the late Craig Carter, Clifton, Carmen and Cassandra AKA “JoJo”; and,
WHEREAS, after her first husband past away, she later married Alvin Robinson. Pat had a busy life. She worked for ten years at the historic Hughes & Hatcher men’s clothing store located in what was then the Hyatt Hotel. She then worked in Security for the University of Pittsburgh, from where she retired; and
WHEREAS, Pat volunteers in the kitchen for the Glen Hazel Senior Center and loves interior decorating, bowling and playing softball. She even found time to get her name in the Pittsburgh Courier; and,
WHEREAS, her volunteer work and being active in sports, helps her to keep up with her grandchildren, to whom with she enjoys spending her free time; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Pat Robinson in honor of Grandparent’s Day and thank her for her service to the community of Glen Hazel and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Sunday, September 11, 2022 to be “Pat Robinson Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
