WRIT OF ELECTION
TO THE ALLEGHENY COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA:
WHEREAS, in consequence of the resignation of the Honorable Luke Ravenstahl, who was elected a Member of the City Council of the City of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a vacancy exists in the representation of the First City Council District of the City of Pittsburgh.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Linda M. Johnson-Wasler, City Clerk of the City of Pittsburgh, in pursuance of the provisions of the Constitution of the United States, the Act of General Assembly in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, entitled, "The Pennsylvania Election Code," approved the third day of June, in the year of Our Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirty Seven, as amended, and the Home Rule Charter of the City of Pittsburgh, have issued this Writ, commanding you to do your respective duties according to law, to hold an election in the First Council District of the City of Pittsburgh on: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2006 IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD, TWO THOUSAND SIX for the election of a Member of City Council to represent the First Council District of the City of Pittsburgh to fill the vacancy aforesaid, for the unexpired term of the Honorable Luke Ravenstahl; and you are hereby required and enjoined to give lawful notice of said election, and make return thereof in manner form as by law is directed and required.
