Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning, to enter into an Agreement or Agreements between the City of Pittsburgh and UpstreamPGH for the installation and maintenance of a community-led public art installation located at 8229 Bricelyn Street, at no cost to the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, UpstreamPGH has proposed the creation of a public art installation for 8229 Bricelyn Street, parcels 231-N-98 and 231-N-99, known as the Dornbush Green Infrastructure Project, on property owned by the City of Pittsburgh; and

 

WHEREAS, the installation of the public art is supported by the Department of Public Works and has been given approval by the City of Pittsburgh Public Art & Civic Design Commission; and

 

WHEREAS, the Public History, Art, & Design division of the Department of City Planning administers the implementation of community-led public art projects on City property; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh intends to grant UpstreamPGH license to install and maintain the public art installation at this location, with no cost to the City of Pittsburgh and without transfer of ownership to the City of Pittsburgh.

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     Authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning, to enter into an Agreement or Agreements between the City of Pittsburgh and UpstreamPGH for the installation and maintenance of a community-led public art installation located at 8229 Bricelyn Street, known as the Dornbush Green Infrastructure Project.
