Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to enter into an NFL Draft Funding Agreement or Agreements with the Greater Pittsburgh Convention and Visitors Bureau, Inc. d/b/a VisitPITTSBURGH for the coordination of municipal, governmental, and other services required for the 2026 NFL Draft, at cost not to exceed One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) over three years, plus the value of various in-kind City services.

Body
WHEREAS, the 2026 NFL Draft will be hosted in the City of Pittsburgh where it is expected to generate significant economic benefit for the area; and
WHEREAS, the 2026 NFL Draft will be one of the largest events hosted within the City of Pittsburgh in recent years and consequently will require the cooperation and coordination of various entities for its success; and
WHEREAS, VisitPITTSBURGH is leading efforts for the coordination of municipal, governmental, and other services required for the Project, including, but not limited to, (i) administering and managing plans for hosting the 2026 NFL Draft, (ii) paying contractors for providing services related to the Project, (iii) purchasing goods required for the Project, and (iv) receiving reimbursement or payment for other expenses related thereto, as reasonably determined by VisitPITTSBURGH; and
WHEREAS, VisitPITTSBURGH, Allegheny County, and the City of Pittsburgh desire to enter into separate agreements to work together to support the Project; and
AND WHEREAS, VisitPITTSBURGH and the City of Pittsburgh desire to enter into an Agreement, setting out the working arrangement that each agrees is necessary to support the Project; NOW THEREFORE,
