Title

Resolution authorizing payment from the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections by method of P-Card to the International Accreditation Services, Inc. (IAS) for accreditation under its Building Department Accreditation (BDA) program.

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections (PLI) seeks to receive national accreditation from the International Accreditation Services (IAS) for compliance with standards in IAS’ Building Department Accreditation (BDA) program in order to demonstrate that PLI meets national best practices in providing competent building and code enforcement services for the City of Pittsburgh; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections (PLI) is required to make a payment in an overall amount not to exceed $22,500 for the application process ($7,500 annually) involving the BDA program over three years.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.  Resolution authorizing payment from the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections by method of P-Card to the International Accreditation Services, Inc. (IAS) for accreditation under its Building Department Accreditation (BDA) program.

Section 2. The payment to IAS shall be chargeable to and payable from the following accounts in their respective budget years in an overall amount not to exceed $22,500.00, subject to future available appropriations by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh:
