Title

Resolution providing for a three-party Transportation Alternatives Program federal aid reimbursement agreement or agreements by and among the City of Pittsburgh, the (MUNICIPALITY), the Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County (the “SEA”) and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, (DEPARTMENT) in connection with the implementation of the Lower Hill Infrastructure Project, Element II-C, Intersection and Sidewalk Improvements on Centre Avenue.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City and SEA desire for SEA, acting as an agent for the City, to cause certain agreed to street infrastructure improvements to be implemented at no cost to the City.

 

WHEREAS, proposed infrastructure improvements costs are eligible for, and will receive, federal funding to be channeled directly to the SEA.

 

WHEREAS, upon completion and acceptance of the improvements, the City agrees to take over and maintain the street infrastructure improvements in accordance with approved drawings, as required by PennDOT/Federal Highway Administration.

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a three-party Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) federal aid reimbursement agreement or agreements (TAP  Reimbursement Agreements), each in form approved by the City Solicitor, by and among the City of Pittsburgh, SEA and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, in connection with the implementation of the Lower Hill Infrastructure Project, Element II-C, Intersection and Sidewalk Improvements on Centre Avenue, situated in the 2nd and 3rd Wards of the City of Pittsburgh, Council District No. 6.

 

Section 2.                     Any Resolution of Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this resolution.
