Resolution making Appropriations to pay the expenses of conducting the Public Business of the City of Pittsburgh and for meeting the debt charges thereof for the Fiscal Year, beginning January 1, 2005.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. That the Revenues of said City derived from taxes and other sources for the Fiscal Year beginning January 1, 2005 and ending December 31, 2005 including therein cash surplus on hand at the close of Business on December 31, 2004, are hereby appropriated in the General Fund the sum of $417,546,382, to pay the expenses of conducting the Public Business of the City of Pittsburgh and meeting the debt charges thereof during the said period beginning January 1, 2005 and ending December 31, 2005 as well as all encumbrances and unencumbered obligations incurred prior to January 1, 2005 for which services have not actually been rendered or Supplies, Materials or Equipment actually delivered on or prior to December 31, 2004 and so reported to the City Controller. Said obligations shall be charged to the proper Appropriation Accounts against which encumbrances have been originally charged, and all unexpended balances of appropriations remaining open upon the books of the City Controller at the close of the Fiscal Year 2004, shall be and the same are hereby ordered to be cancelled effective February 28, 2005, including such amounts as shall be required for payments for salaries and wages earned, services actually rendered or Supplies, Materials or Equipment actually delivered prior to December 31, 2004 and so reported to the City Controller, or such amounts as shall be directed to be carried over to the Fiscal Year 2005 by Resolution or Ordinance of Council.

SECTION 2. No liability shall be incurred against any appropriation item in excess of the unencumbered balance thereof, and said appropriation item shall be administered subject...
