Title
Resolution authorizing the Department of City Planning to submit a Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2) grant application to and execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and National Resources (DNCR) in order to create a Comprehensive Open Space, Parks and Recreation Plan for the City.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh, through the Department of City Planning, desires to undertake a Comprehensive Open Space, Parks, and Recreation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to receive from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) a grant for the purpose of carrying out this project through DCNR's Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2); and
WHEREAS, the City understands that the contents of the document entitled "Terms and Conditions of Grant", including the document entitled "Signature Page for Grant Agreement" and appendices referred to therein, will become the terms and conditions of a Grant Agreement between the City and DCNR if the City is awarded a grant; and
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Mayor or the Director of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to submit a Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2) grant application to and execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Natural Resources in order to create a Comprehensive Open Space, Parks, and Recreation Plan for the City.
 
Section 2.  If the City is awarded a grant, the Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh may enter into a grant agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Natural Resources.
 
Section 3.  The Mayor or the Director of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreements with consultants under the terms of the agreement between the City and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
