Title
Resolution authorizing the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh to submit an Application to the Pennsylvania Office of the Budget for a $5,000,000 increase to a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant for the Nine Mile Run project for a total grant of $17,500,000.  (Council District No. 5)
 
Body
Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") has obtained $12,500,000 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of the Budget (the "Commonwealth") under the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program ("RACP") for the Nine Mile Run project (the "Project"); and
 
Whereas, URA and the City of Pittsburgh (the "City") wish to obtain an additional $5,000,000 RACP grant (the "Additional Grant") for the Project;
 
Whereas, URA has prepared an application for the Additional Grant which is available at URA's offices; and
 
Whereas, the Commonwealth requires the City to agree to reimburse it for any expenditure of RACP funds determined by the Commonwealth to be ineligible;
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh is hereby authorized to file an application with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of the Budget for the Additional Grant for the Project.
 
Section 2.      The City agrees to reimburse the Commonwealth for any expenditure of RACP funds determined by the Commonwealth to be ineligible.
