WHEREAS, the lots surrounding the City’s Environmental Services Center in the 6th Ward of the City requires resurfacing work for continued performance of City services; and

WHEREAS, the City’s paving schedule requires that the City take immediate action to resurface the site in order for it to be performed before the end of paving season; and

WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an arrangement to allow for relocation of vehicles from the surface of the lot to allow the resurfacing work to occur immediately, and

WHEREAS, adjacent properties have been made available for City storage of vehicles at no cost to the City provided that the City provides some in kind repair work to the surface of the adjacent lots, and

WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an agreement between the City and the adjacent property owner for use of their lots in order to allow for the expedient resurfacing of the City lot.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into a temporary easement agreement with North River Pittsburgh I, LLC for temporary placement of City vehicles onto certain properties along 32nd and 31st Street in the 6th Ward of Pittsburgh in order to allow necessary resurfacing work to occur at the City’s Environmental Services Center at 3001 Railroad Street.
