WHEREAS, Robin Brandt, Crime Prevention Officer at Zone One police station, retired as of December 10, 2003, and;
WHEREAS, Robin served in this capacity for 23 years on the Northside, and;
WHEREAS, during her 23 years of service, Robin Brandt developed a strong reputation as a caring person who was ready and willing to help with each and every concern brought to her attention, and;
WHEREAS, in 23 years, Ms. Brandt attended thousands of community meetings, block club gatherings, school assemblies, safety rallies & marches and numerous other events in order to educate, inform, support and assist with any and all public safety concerns, and;
WHEREAS, Robin handled hundreds of difficult, confrontational and emotional situations in a very professional, calm and caring way, and;
WHEREAS, Ms. Brandt went far and beyond the call of duty in her effort to support crime prevention efforts, and;
WHEREAS, northside residents wish to recognize, acknowledge and thank Robin for her efforts;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognizes, commends and honors robin brandt for 23 years of service and caring, and;
Be it further resolved, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby proclaim tuesday, December 16 as "robin brandt day" in the city in the City of Pittsburgh.
