Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a grant agreement with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to accept funds to cover building demolitions and related activities and further authorizing the Chief of the Bureau of Building Inspection to expend said funds for this purpose.

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.      The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to enter into a grant agreement with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to accept One Hundred Ninety Eight Thousand, Eight Hundred Twenty Dollars ($198,820.00) to accept funds for building demolitions and related activities contemplated by said agreement.  Funds received for this purpose will be deposited into the following account:  Fund 5100, Org 270000, Sub PGHPR, Acc 000000 526500, BY 2006, Proj/Grant 2267338.

Section 2.      Upon receipt of such funds, the Chief of the Bureau of Building Inspection is thereafter authorized to expend such grant monies on demolition expenses and related activities.
