Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into a License and Maintenance Agreement with the Friends of the Riverfront to construct and maintain a canoe/kayak rack and launch facility along the left bank of the Ohio River at the end of Westhall Street.  
 
Body
WHEREAS, Friends of the Riverfront, a community advocacy group organized as a 501(c)(3) corporation, has offered to build and maintain a canoe/kayak ramp and launch to be owned by the City and located on City property at the end of Westhall Street and;
 
WHEREAS, the City now seeks to enter into a License and Maintenance Agreement with the Friends of the Riverfront to set forth terms relating to the construction and maintenance of the canoe/kayak rack and launch.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works are hereby authorized to enter into a License and Maintenance Agreement with the Friends of the Riverfront to construct and maintain a canoe/kayak rack and launch on the Ohio River at the end of Westhall Street. The License and Maintenance Agreement shall permit a revocable term of ten (10) years and shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
