WHEREAS, Lights! Camera! Fineview! is a happening that will eventually produce a short 10 to 15 minutes film portraying the splendid past, the changes and re-birth of the Fineview neighborhood in the North Side; and
WHEREAS, Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. chose 50 emerging and high-potential leaders from its Leadership Development Initiative program to produce PopUp! Pittsburgh, an event designed to raise awareness for a Pittsburgh neighborhood, and this year it's Fineview; and
WHEREAS, to get to know Fineview and its people, the chosen Leadership Pittsburgh professionals attended dinners at assorted resident's houses, went to Fineview neighborhood meetings and interviewed many residents to become immersed in the feel and character of Fineview; and
WHEREAS, the filming of "Spineview: The Movie" on May 21st, could include anyone and everyone, so wear your best Zombie gear, which representing Fineview when the neighborhood was overrun with graffiti-spraying, drug-slinging, heat-packing hoodlums, as the good people of Fineview fight against the un-dead to bring Fineview back to a charming and safe community; and
WHEREAS, festivities begin at 1:00 p.m. with a red carpet walk, photo session and celebrity autographs, film production education with green screen demonstrations, local food and craft vendors and the real history of Fineview as told by the neighbors and filming starts at 3:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, The Leadership Development Initiative group plans to play this film at various locations within the City as well as enter it into Film Festivals around the country to let people know the glory of Fineview;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of City of Pittsburgh praises Leadership Pittsburgh for promoting, and showing everyone the wonderful North Side neighborhood of Fineview and does declare Saturday, May 21, 2011 "Fineview and Leadership Pittsburgh Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
