The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

 

Section 1.                     

 

§ 473.05 - BEHAVIOR.

 

(a) Intoxicating beverages. No person in a park shall have brought in, possess or consume any beer or alcoholic beverages at any time except where designated by the Director of Parks and Recreation.

 

(b) Dogs and domestic animals. Dogs or any domestic animals are not permitted on playgrounds and courts at any time. Dogs are not permitted in parks and ballfields, except when held on leash and under the control of the owner or other person having the dog in charge. The Director may prohibit dogs entirely in designated areas of parks and ballfields. No dog or other domestic animal shall be permitted to be at large, except in areas specifically designated by the Director as Off Leash Exercise Areas (See City Code at 633.22), and any owner or person in charge of the animal shall be responsible for the control thereof. The Director may ban dogs and other pets, or a specific dog or other pet, from areas of any park, ballfield, or greenway where the Director determines the same may be a nuisance.
