WHEREAS, on Thursday, January 31, 2008, the Pittsburgh Job Corps will celebrate the retirement of Andrea Drozic, Center Director and has committed her professional life to public service with the U.S. Department of Labor, specifically the Job Corps Program; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Drozic's guidance and tutelage over 35 years has helped the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center produce successful young men and women; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Drozic is dedicated to helping Pennsylvanians discover a future full of prosperity, hope and boundless horizons; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Drozic's leadership has resulted in the dedication of a Wellness Center and a GED building on center; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Drozic's devotion and loyalty has created many friends for the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Drozic has made us proud of the good works done by the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Drozic supports the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center's partnership with the Community College of Allegheny County allowing greater choice and higher educational goals for students; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Drozic has been the inspiration mentor and champion of the mission of the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center, changing lives, launching careers, strengthening communities and building character; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend Ms. Andrea Drozic for her concentrated efforts to benefit the Commonwealth by ensuring skilled employees for the next millenium.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh recognizes and honors a life of fulfillment in all that Ms. Drozic has contributed to our City.
