WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh is currently advancing the Stormwater Management and Noise Control Improvements to the existing Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Firing Range project (the "Project") in the 12th Ward of the City, and;

WHEREAS, as part of the Project, the City of Pittsburgh must install and construct stormwater management infrastructure on or under a certain parcel of property (125-C-300, 12th Ward) (the "Property"), which is owned by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County ("RAAC"), near the Project area, and;

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh seeks to enter into a temporary construction easement with RAAC to allow for access and general Project-related construction activities, including the installation and construction of the stormwater management infrastructure necessary to advance the Project, and;

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh additionally seeks to enter into a permanent easement with RAAC to allow for the stormwater management infrastructure to remain on or under the Property indefinitely and to allow for the continued maintenance and repair of the infrastructure, as well as for access to City property.


NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The Director of the Department of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is authorized to enter into a temporary construction easement on the Property necessary to advance the Stormwater Management and Noise Control Improvements to Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Firing Range, as set forth further in the graphic attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit B.
