Resolution amending Resolution 60 of 2013, providing for the implementation of a Residential Permit Parking Program (RPPP) Area P in the Uptown and Bluff neighborhoods to expand the streets pursuant to Pittsburgh code Chapter 549.

Whereas, the construction of the University Line will result in the removal of parking on Fifth Ave in West Oakland;

 

Whereas, five residential properties impacted by this parking removal have no other access to off-street parking;

 

Whereas, to address this parking removal, Pittsburgh Regional Transit has constructed an eight-car parking area in City right-of-way at the corner of Kirkpatrick St and Fifth Ave;

 

Whereas, to ensure this parking area for use by Fifth Ave residents only;

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     As provided by the Pittsburgh City Code, Chapter 549, entitled "Residential Parking Permit Program," a parking management plan is adopted as follows:

 

Within Area “P” bounded by:  Marion Street, from Watson Street to Boulevard of the Allies; Van Braam Street, from Watson Avenue to Boulevard of the Allies; Miltenberger Street, from Watson Street to Boulevard of the Allies; Gist Street, from Forbes Avenue to Boulevard of the Allies; Jumonville Street, from Forbes Avenue to Boulevard of the Allies; Watson Street, from Marion Street to Miltenberger Street; Forbes Avenue, from Marion Street to Miltenberger Street and from Jumonville Street to Seneca Street; Seneca Street, from Tustin Street to Watson Street; Tustin Street, from Marion Street to Seneca Street; Locust Street, from Marion Street to Gist Street; Edna Street, from Marion Street to Miltenberger Street; Boulevard of the Allies, from Miltenberger Street to Seneca Street; Kirkpatrick Street Parking Area.
