WHEREAS, over two decades past, a small group of dedicated citizens formed the Greater West End Community Alliance, through steadfast outreach and a shared vision for safe, clean, and vibrant neighborhoods, the group flourished to include Crafton Heights, Ridgemont, West End, and Westwood; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Alliance have fostered enduring traditions, such as annual neighborhood clean-ups and Easter Egg Hunts in partnership with Council District Two, while showing steadfast dedication to the maintenance and preservation of military memorials and United States flags within West End and Crafton Heights; and
WHEREAS, in collaboration with the Allegheny County Redevelopment Authority and the City of Pittsburgh, the Alliance has supported and celebrated the advancement of the long-anticipated West End Trolley Trail, a project destined to connect Crafton Heights, Elliott, and Westwood via scenic pathways leading to the Historic Old Stone Tavern; and
WHEREAS, the Alliance remains at the heart of community engagement-advancing economic growth, fostering business opportunity, and nurturing housing development-by uniting like-minded residents who share the common purpose of a safe, thriving, and cohesive West Pittsburgh; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh seeks to recognize the enduring service and profound dedication of Costas Connors, Maribeth Cringle, David Fromm, Edwin Keslak, Adam Kubizna, Bill and Jessica Lamar, Alex Laroco, Brian and Michelle Ralston, and Lori Rippole for their remarkable contributions to the vitality and well-being of the West End neighborhoods; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend these individuals and the entire Greater West End Community Alliance for their vision, perseverance, and ceaseless work to strengthen and enhance their community; and
