Title: Now, therefore be it resoloved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and honor Mr. Tony Ceoffe for a lifetime of commitment to his community, And Be it further resolved, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares December 15, 2009 "Tony Ceoffe Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

Whereas, Tony Ceoffe is a life-long resident of Lawrenceville who has tirelessly worked to benefit his neighborhood and the city; and;
 
Whereas, Mr. Ceoffe has committed to improving the safety of Lawrenceville residents through service as a block watch member, Disruptive Property Appeals Board Member, and a Member of the Mayor's Graffiti Task Force; and,
 
Whereas, Mr. Ceoffe has provided constructive opportunities for young people in the city as a coach of 9th Ward Little League Baseball, as past president of Lawrenceville Youth Football, and a coordinator for holiday and Halloween parties for children; and,
 
Whereas, Mr. Ceoffe has served as the executive director of Lawrenceville United, and as a Lawrenceville Corporation board member, Elm Street Committee chair, and as a Weed and Seed steering committee member; and
 
Whereas, Mr. Ceoffe is an Honorably Discharged Veteran serving in the US Navy as a Communications Petty Officer Second Class from 1979-1985; and,
 
Whereas, Mr. Ceoffe is retiring as the executive director of  Lawrenceville United, but continuing his commitment to public service as a Magisterial District Judge,

Now, therefore be it resoloved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and honor Mr. Tony Ceoffe for a lifetime of commitment to his community,
 
And Be it further resolved, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares December 15, 2009 "Tony Ceoffe Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
