Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, Pittsburgh City Council joins the students, parents, teachers, staff, principal and assistant principal of Schiller Classical Academy in congratulating and thanking Mary Worthy for her tenure at the school on the occasion of her retirement from service to the Pittsburgh Public Schools.

WHEREAS,  the students, parents, teachers, staff, principal and assistant principal of Schiller Classical Academy (Schiller), 1018 Peralta Street, of  Pittsburgh's Northside, celebrate the retirement of their school secretary, Mary Worthy, who has been of service since 1991; and
 
WHEREAS,  having begun her employment with the Pittsburgh Public Schools on January 23, 1978, Ms. Worthy will officially retire on June 27, 2005; and
 
WHEREAS, on Friday, June 17, 2005, Schiller will honor Ms. Worthy with a retirement celebration--a  token of appreciation and farewell--to thank her for always making a special effort to help children do their best,  for mentoring those students who were struggling, for helping students research and organize projects, for reading in classrooms and giving encouragement to all; and
 
WHEREAS, Ms. Worthy's good humor, understanding nature, and ability to anticipate staff needs, before being asked, made her an excellent school secretary--invaluable, and an inspiration to all; and
 
WHEREAS, beloved by the students, parents, teachers, staff, principal and assistant principal, retirement will not withdraw Mary Worthy from the hearts of all who came to know her.
