Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.      The Mayor and the Director  of Personnel and Civil Service Commission, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Contract or Contracts, in a form approved by the City Solicitor: FRIED, KANE, WALTERS, ZUSCHLAG & GROCHMAL shall engage in legal counsel for defense of workers' compensation and Heart and Lung Act claims, to include subrogation, against the City at a cost not to exceed $230,000 (Two Hundred and Thirty Thousand Dollars) chargeable and payable from Code Account 44-9. Workers' Compensation Program Medical/Administration, Index Code 004499, Account 574300, Fund 1000, Organization 999300, Sub Class 040, and Budget Year 2007, Department of Personnel and Civil Service Commission.
