Title

Resolution authorizing an Agreement or Agreements with a medical billing and reimbursement company, specializing in emergency transportation billing, for professional services in connection with the invoicing and collection of fees for medical services and ambulance transportation provided by the City of Pittsburgh's Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Mayor, Director of the Department of Public Safety and the Chief of the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, with a medical billing and reimbursement company, for professional services in connection with the invoicing and collection of fees for medical services and ambulance transportation provided by the City of Pittsburgh's Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.

 

Costs associated with professional services will be based on a fixed percentage of the amount collected by the Contractor and shall not exceed 7% of the total.

 

The Agreement shall be renewable from year-to-year if the City deems such renewal desirable.
