Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with four organizations to support large-scale investments in Pittsburgh’s food system as part of the “Food Justice initiatives” American Rescue Plan Act allocation, at a total cost not to exceed One Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,100,000).

 

Funds shall be paid from the following account:

 

$1,100,000.00 from 0222905500.53901.00

 

 

Section 2.                     The authorized spend of each contract shall be as follows:

$464,157.00 - Grow Pittsburgh

$160,490.00 - Jasmine Nyree Homes

$275,000.00 - Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

$200,353.00 - Just Harvest Education Fund

 

 

Section 3.                     Said Agreement or Agreements shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form.
