Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Zachary James Esch; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Sunday, March 15th, 2020, to be "Zachary James Esch Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Zachary James Esch began his scouting career as a Tiger Cub when he was in first grade, eventually becoming a member of the Order of the Arrow, attending National Youth Leadership Training, and earning all five Catholic Religious Awards; and,

 

WHEREAS, Zachary has held many leadership positions as a boy scout including Patrol Leader for the Flying Eagles Patrol, Assistant Patrol Leader, Junior Webmaster, Outdoor Ethics Guide, and summer camp Senior Patrol Leader; and, 

 

WHEREAS, Zachary was selected as a Carson Scholar in 8th grade, maintaining recognition for an additional three years for maintaining a high level of academic and community service; and,

 

WHEREAS, Zachary, now a senior at Seton-LaSalle Catholic High School, is a multi-sport letterman, a member of the Marching, Concert, Pep, and Jazz Bands, sings in the School Choir, is a Student Ambassador, member of the National Honor Society, and is the Senior Class Vice President with plans to attend Duquesne University; and, 

 

WHEREAS, Zachary has vigorously pursued his passion for theatre by appearing in performances of Godspell, Leader of the Pack, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Little Mermaid, Clue, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat since 2015; and,

 

WHEREAS, Zachary completed his Eagle Scout project by renovating his school’s band storage area by adding new painted shelving; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Zachary James Esch; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Sunday, March 15th, 2020, to be “Zachary James Esch Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
