WHEREAS, Dr. Robert G. Edwards was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from The Pittsburgh Public School System, he pursued his education at The University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, and graduated in 1975; and,

WHEREAS, Dr. Edwards opened his office in 1982 in his community on Lincoln Ave. He continues to serve this community and beyond for over 4 decades. His focus is providing quality healthcare guiding patients to achieve their full potential for health and well-being; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Edwards has received awards and recognitions for his service. His compassion and dedication cause his patients to feel comfortable asking him questions and getting truthful answers. He is one of Pittsburgh’s finest doctors. Some patients call him Dr. Edwards, Dr. Rob, Dr. Moose (homage to his beloved team at Westinghouse High School, The Bulldogs), or Bobby; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Edwards studies and teaches God’s Word to be equipped for this good work, which gives him a servant’s heart. He has been married for over 50 years to his wife, Axlie, who works with him. They are parents of two grown children and three grandchildren; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Edwards is celebrating 40 years as a physician in the Lincoln-Lemington Larimer Community; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Dr. Robert Edwards for 40 years of providing healthcare, healing, and comfort to the Lincoln-Lemington and Larimer community; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, October 25, 2022, to be “Dr. Robert G. Edwards Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
