Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Public Safety to enter into a Sponsorship Agreement for the Cinema in the Park summer film series.

WHEREAS, each summer, the City presents “Cinema in the Park,” an annual film series in which movies are shown in neighborhood parks throughout June, July, and August; and
WHEREAS, Dollar Bank desires to provide the City with sponsorship support for Cinema in the Park for the Summer of 2017, and the parties wish to enter into a Presenting Sponsorship Agreement.
Now therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Public Safety are authorized to enter into a Presenting Sponsorship Agreement with Dollar Bank for the 2017 “Cinema in the Park” summer film series. The Sponsorship Fee due from Dollar Bank is Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00), to be paid to the Treasurer, City of Pittsburgh, and deposited into the following account: JDE 5000731400.48106.
Section 2: The Presenting Agreement may also include a Right of First Refusal for Dollar Bank to enter into further negotiations with the City to continue its sponsorship status in a similar capacity, subject to further negotiations by the parties and legislative authorization, as applicable. The Presenting Sponsorship Agreement must be approved by the Solicitor as to form and substance.
