Resolution authorizing a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, designating URA as the City’s agent for administration of the 2025-2026 HOME Investments Partnership Program at a cost not to exceed $1,986,153.64-One Million, Nine Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand, One Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars and Sixty-Four Cents. Whereas, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) has awarded the City $1,986,153.64-One Million, Nine Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand, One Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars and Sixty-Four Cents, in HOME Investment Partnership Program (“HOME”) funds for fiscal year 2025; and
Whereas, the City has submitted a program description to HUD designating the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (“URA”) as its agent for implementation of the HOME program (the “Program”); and
Whereas, the City wishes to enter into a cooperation agreement designating URA as its agent to administer the Program and to provide for certain other matters required by HUD;
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget are hereby authorized to enter into a 2025 HOME Program Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with URA in the amount of $1,986,153.64-One Million, Nine Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand, One Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars and Sixty-Four Cents, in form approved by the City Solicitor, designating URA as the City’s agent for administration of the Program, authorizing URA to draw down funds directly from HUD and requiring URA to comply with all applicable provisions of 24 CFR Part 92.
