WHEREAS, the USA Ball Hockey Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that seeks to increase participation and awareness of hockey locally, regionally and nationally; and,

WHEREAS, USA Ball Hockey Foundation believes in the promotion of healthy habits to secure the emotional well-being and stability of young athletes; and,

WHEREAS, USA Ball Hockey Foundation works to support communities by organizing programs that develop players, coaches, officials and facilities with the goal of competing on a national level; and,

WHEREAS, USA Ball Hockey Foundation desires to have small games for the purposes of raising funds to continue serving residents of the community.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognizes USA Ball Hockey Foundation to be a civic and/or service organization within the context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
