Title: Now, therefore be it resoloved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and honor Mr. Brian Narr for his actions on behalf of his neighbors, And Be it further resolved, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares March 31, 2009 "Brian Narr Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

Whereas, William A. Koehler died suddenly on Saturday, March 7, 2009. He lived in the Garfield neighborhood of the city of Pittsburgh for 57 years with his sister. For the past few years he worked for Vocelli Pizza in Lawrenceville; and,
 
Whereas, On Saturday, March 7, 2009 Mr. Koehler was parked in Lawrenceville when he began to have a heart attack; and,
 
Whereas, Neighbor children saw Mr. Koehler slumped over and quickly ran to get help. They found Brian Narr and led him to the scene; and,
Whereas, When Mr. Narr arrived at Mr. Koehler's side he administered CPR. Sadly, Mr. Koehler passed away; and,
Whereas, Mr. Narr with his wife, Pam, and 3 sons, have been residents of 4407 Davison Street for 9 years.  He has been a coach for the 9th Ward Youth Association for 20 years and for St John Neumann Elementary for 4 years; and,
 
Whereas, Mr. Narr acted selflessly in administering CPR to an ailing stranger and was one of several first responders who bravely attempted to save Mr. Koehler's life;
