Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby acknowledge Vincent John Romanelli for being a wonderful father and husband, thanks him for his years of service to our Country and congratulates him on the celebration of his 80th Birthday. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that today, November 6, 2005 be hereby declared “Vincent John Romanelli Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Vincent John Romanelli was born on the South Side on November 6, 1925.  He attended St. Michael's High School and in 1944, was drafted into the United States Army; and
 
WHEREAS, in 1953, he married Wanda Pawloski and a year later, they started their family.  Vincent and Wanda were married for 42 wonderful years and raised three beautiful daughters, Anna Marie, Mary Lynne and Karen Ann; and
 
WHEREAS, all his life, Vincent has been a hard worker providing for his family.  He was Manager at the A&P Supermarket in Mt. Oliver until he retired in 1973; and
 
WHEREAS, Vincent is a devout Roman Catholic who actively volunteered for his church.  He ran St. Adalbert's Bingos and Fall Festivals in the Early 80's and when the American Serbian Club knew of their success, they asked him to help to run their Bingo Hall, which he did graciously from 1986 until 1992; and
 
WHEREAS, Vincent is the proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Jeffrey Alan, Vincent Anthony, William Lucas and Isabella Rose; and
 
WHEREAS, on November 6, 2005, the family of Vincent Romanelli will gather for mass and dinner party at the Epiphany beginning at 5PM to celebrate his 80th Birthday.
