Title: WHEREAS founded in 1985, the National Organization of Black Women in Law Enforcement Executives (NOBWLE), Inc. is an incorporated, non-profit entity whose membership is composed of Federal, State, and local law enforcement officers and staff who hold a variety of different positions and titles within their respective organizations; and WHEREAS NOBWLE, Inc. acting as an arm of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), is committed to supporting those women who are employed within the field of law enforcement by encouraging fair hiring and retention practices, in addition to providing professional training and promotional assistance; and WHEREAS NOBWLE, Inc. not only seeks to support female law enforcement professionals, but it also works to strengthen the community at large via its participation in a number of local and youth-oriented initiatives; and WHEREAS from August 15, 2007 through August 18, 2007, NOBWLE, Inc. will host its 22nd Annual Traini...

WHEREAS founded in 1985, the National Organization of Black Women in Law Enforcement Executives (NOBWLE), Inc. is an incorporated, non-profit entity whose membership is composed of Federal, State, and local law enforcement officers and staff who hold a variety of different positions and titles within their respective organizations; and

 

WHEREAS NOBWLE, Inc. acting as an arm of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), is committed to supporting those women who are employed within the field of law enforcement by encouraging fair hiring and retention practices, in addition to providing professional training and promotional assistance; and

 

WHEREAS NOBWLE, Inc. not only seeks to support female law enforcement professionals, but it also works to strengthen the community at large via its participation in a number of local and youth-oriented initiatives; and

 

WHEREAS from August 15, 2007 through August 18, 2007, NOBWLE, Inc. will host its 22nd Annual Training Conference to be held at the Marriott City Center Hotel which is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and

 

WHEREAS the theme of this year's conference will be "Celebrating Our Strengths, Embracing Our Differences," with the conference's workshops being open to all women, regardless of their professional backgrounds, thereby highlighting the inclusive mission of NOBWLE, Inc

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby wish to thank NOBWLE, Inc. for its many valuable contributions to ensuring the professional wellbeing of all women, and in particular that of female, African American law enforcement officers and employees.

 

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby also wish to welcome NOBWLE, Inc. and its membership to our City and take this opportunity to wish them much success with their 22nd Annual Training Conference.
