WHEREAS, the Veterans Business Outreach Center at Robert Morris University provides focused business support and ongoing entrepreneurial education and training to the National Guard and Reserves, Military Veterans and active duty personnel; and
WHEREAS, the Veterans Business Outreach Center aims to assist our region by promoting business start-ups and job growth through entrepreneurship; and
WHEREAS, more than 1.2 million Pennsylvanians are Veterans, comprising 14% of our Commonwealth's population; and
WHEREAS, the Veterans Business Outreach Center offers planning, counseling and training to those that may be called to active duty, guidance to veterans returning from active duty and loan assistance for businesses affected by troop mobilization; and
WHEREAS, the Veterans Business Outreach Center serves the dually noble goal of assisting our men and women in the armed services as well as helping our national economy to prosper;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh recognizes the Veterans Business Outreach Center at Robert Morris University for its service to our Veterans and our country.
