Additionally authorizing the Urban Redevelopment Authority to submit one grant application to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Community Conservation Partnerships Program.

Be it Resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. The City of Pittsburgh is authorized to submit three grant applications to, and execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources under their Community Conservation Partnerships Program. All the applications require a local match (50/50). The grant applications are for the following projects:

1. The development of a Bike Station at the western terminus (Downtown end) of the Eliza Furnace Trail, adjacent to the Port Authority of Allegheny County's First Avenue LRT Station. Total project cost of $750,000 with various identified public and private sources supplying $650,000 of the funds and a Community Conservation Partnership Program grant application for $100,000.
2. The development of a pedestrian / bicycle trail through Station Square. Total project cost of $200,000 with Forest City Enterprises supplying a $100,000 match for the $100,000 sought through the Community Conservation Partnerships Program.
3. A Natural Systems Study focused on the City's four regional parks. Total project cost $250,000 with matching funds from the City Capital Budget.

Additionally the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh will submit a grant application to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources under the Community Conservation Partnerships Program for a $750,000 grant to facilitate the construction of Crescent Par...
