WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh has duly enacted Title 11 of the Code of Ordinances, which protects and preserves Historic Structures, Districts, Sites, and Objects; and

WHEREAS, The Jewish Cemetery and Burial Association has nominated the Beth Abraham Cemetery, located at 800 Stewart Avenue (138-G-140, 138-L-6, 138-L-30, 138-L-40, 138-L-150, 138-L-54, 138-M-1) for designation as a Historic Site; and

WHEREAS, the Historic Review Commission has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the property owner and other interested parties concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and

WHEREAS, the Historic Review Commission has voted to recommend that City Council designate the Beth Abraham Cemetery, located at 800 Stewart Avenue (138-G-140, 138-L-6, 138-L-30, 138-L-40, 138-L-150, 138-L-54, 138-M-1) for designation as a Historic Site; and

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the property owner and other interested parties concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has voted to recommend that City Council designate Sal's Barber Shop, located at 800 Stewart Avenue (138-G-140, 138-L-6, 138-L-30, 138-L-40, 138-L-150, 138-L-54, 138-M-1) for designation as a Historic Site; and

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the public concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and
