WHEREAS, Love Carrick is a charitable organization dedicated to serving the Carrick community in South Pittsburgh; and,
Body
WHEREAS, Love Carrick sponsors community events aimed at fostering community pride and unity; and,
WHEREAS, Love Carrick works to support residents by hosting meals that are free to the public and support local businesses through vendor fairs; and,
WHEREAS, Love Carrick desires to offer gift cards as a raffle prize during a blood drive for the purpose of raising funds to continue serving residents of the community; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognize Love Carrick to be a civic and/or service organization within the context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
