WHEREAS, Audrey Schroder, known for her generosity, community spirit, and unwavering support, continues to inspire all who know her. With her husband, Blinky, she has built a life focused on family, community, and service, leaving a profound impact on everyone she meets; and,

WHEREAS, Audrey and Blinky own Blinky's Noble Bar and Grill, a cherished community cornerstone and a gathering place where friendships are formed and memories are made and is a meeting place for many local political figures; and,
WHEREAS, Audrey's commitment to the community extends beyond her business. She is a dedicated supporter of the Westwood/Oakwood Athletic Association and contributes to sports programs benefiting area children and families. She sponsored Pittsburgh Passion Women's Football and local schools. She has also sponsored and hosted many community events; and,
WHEREAS, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Aubrey donated food to 7 local churches, which fed many struggling families. Her compassion continued as she ensured first responders were well-nourished as well as other needy families. Her generosity and dedication strengthened the community during challenging times. During 9/11, she donates dinners to first responders; and,
WHEREAS, as a woman-owned business, she has trained and hired many local people and has given many people an opportunity to grow in the industry; and,
WHEREAS, Audrey and Blinky's lasting partnership, marked by mutual respect and shared values, has produced a wonderful family, including their son George Johnson and daughter Angel Bankert. As a grandmother to Zac and Josh D'Angelo and a great-grandmother to Emilia and Matteo, Audrey finds great joy in her family's growth and achievements; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Audrey Schroder who exemplifies community, kindness, and resilience; and,
