WHEREAS, Airheads Balloon Art has been successfully operated on the South Side since 2000; and
WHEREAS, David Weiss, owner of Airheads, chose the South Side as its home base because of the affordability of property and the accessibility to major arteries serving the Greater Pittsburgh Area; and
WHEREAS, David has been very generous over the years decorating for the South Side Chamber of Commerce's Annual Dinners, for side walk sales during the South Side Summer Street Spectacular and other events; and
WHEREAS, David is a Certified Balloon Artist and has been playing with balloons for more than 15 years; and
WHEREAS, Airheads Balloon Art started as Airhead Twisters and grew into the delivery, entertainment and decorating service that it is today; and
WHEREAS, Airheads utilizes a staff of three and relies on seven or eight entertainers to twist the balloons into funny shapes at events all over the City of Pittsburgh; and
WHEREAS, on Friday March 4, 2005, Airheads Balloon Art was honored as the 2005 Business of the Year by the South Side Chamber of Commerce at its Annual Dinner.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh commends Airheads Balloon Art for its successful business, extends thanks for its generosity and congratulates David Weiss on his acceptance of the 2005 Business of the Year Award on behalf of Airheads Balloon Art.
