Ordinance authorizing the City of Pittsburgh ("City") to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with the Borough of Mount Oliver ("Borough") with regard to the City providing emergency medical services to the Borough pursuant to the General Local Government Code, 53 Pa. C.S. ??2301 et seq., for a total compensation of EIGHTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($87,500) over five years.

WHEREAS, the City and Borough seek to establish a cooperative arrangement by entering into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with regard to emergency medical services for a five-year term commencing January 1, 2025 and expiring December 31, 2029, and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with said Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement or Agreements, the parties must each enact an ordinance authorizing such intergovernmental cooperation.
The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:
SECTION 1 - CONDITIONS OF AGREEMENT
The Mayor and the Director of Public Safety are hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperation Agreement with the Borough of Mount Oliver to provide emergency medical services pursuant to the General Local Government Code, 53 Pa. C.S. ??2301 et seq.
SECTION 2 - DURATION OF AGREEMENT
Said Agreement(s) shall be for a term of five years, commencing on January 1, 2025 and ending on December 31, 2029.
SECTION 3 - PURPOSES AND OBJECTIVES
Pursuant to 53 P.S. ?2305, the City of Pittsburgh hereby resolves to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with the Borough of Mount Oliver for providing emergency medical services thereto.
SECTION 4 - FINANCING
Pursuant to 53 P.S. ?2307(4), and in consideration of the services that must be financed pursuant to this Agreement, the Borough shall pay the City the below annual amounts:
2025: $15,000
2026: $16,250
2027: $17,500
2028: $18,750
2029: $20,000
TOTAL: $87,500
