• Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Celebrate and Share for the work they do in honoring women; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, August 2, 2010, to be “Celebrate and Share Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Celebrate and Share was founded in 2002 by Bonnie DiCarlo and JoAnn Forrester to celebrate women of achievement and to raise funds for organizations that focus on the needs of women and children; and,

WHEREAS, Celebrate and Share is hosting an event to celebrate the 90^th Anniversary of the passage of the 19^th Amendment on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Rivers club in Downtown Pittsburgh; and,

WHEREAS, the moderator for this event is Barbara Hafer, CEO & President of Hafer & Associates and former PA State Treasurer and PA Auditor General; and,

WHEREAS, panelists will include Jann Chirdon, political strategist; Amanda Green Hawkins, Esquire, Counsel for United Steelworkers of America and Allegheny County Council Member; Selena Schmidt, Executive Director of Power of 32; and Elizabeth Bennington, Esquire, Pollock Begg Komar Glasser LLC; and,
