Resolution amending Resolution No. 493, effective July 19, 2002 entitled "Authorizing a Cooperation Agreement with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh designating URA as the City's agent for implementation of a federal Brownfields Economic Development Initiative grant for the South Side Works project" by adding an account number. (Council District 3).

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 493, effective July 19, 2002, which currently reads as follows:
Section 1. Whereas, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") has established the Brownfields Economic Development Initiative ("BEDI") program (the "Program") to stimulate economic development by local governments and private sector parties in brownfields; and
Whereas, the City of Pittsburgh has applied a grant of $1,500,000 for the South Side Works project; and
Whereas, the City desires to designate the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") as its agent to implement the Program and to receive funds directly from HUD if a grant is awarded.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a South Side Works BEDI Program Cooperation Agreement with URA, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, designating URA as the City's agent for implementation of the Program, providing for the disbursement by HUD of Program funds directly to URA and requiring compliance by URA with federal Program requirements.
Finally, that any Ordinance or Resolution or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution, is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution."
