NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh congratulates Robert E. Vaughan on the occasion of his 100th birthday; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Tuesday, November 4, 2003 is declared "ROBERT E. VAUGHAN DAY" in the City of Pittsburgh

WHEREAS, Raymond E. Vaughan was born on November 4, 1903; and

WHEREAS, on November 20, 1951 Raymond E. Vaughan became a member of the Golden Shield Lodge # 69, F. & A. M., Prince Hall Affiliation, for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, on November 20, 2001, Raymond E. Vaughan became a fifty year member of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, F. & A. M., Prince Hall Affiliation; and

WHEREAS, to this day Raymond E. Vaughan continues as a Deacon of the Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, on Saturday, November 1, 2003, The Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church Family is honoring Deacon Raymond E. Vaughan with a 100th Birthday celebration.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh congratulates Robert E. Vaughan on the occasion of his 100th birthday; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Tuesday, November 4, 2003 is declared "ROBERT E. VAUGHAN DAY" in the City of Pittsburgh
