Title
Resolution further amending resolution No. 768 of 2009 entitled "Adopting and Approving the 2010 Capital Budget and the 2010 Community Development Block Grant Program and approving the 2010 through 2014 Capital Improvement Program" by reducing the funding to the Carnegie Library from $1,000,000 to $640,000 and adding the remaining $360,0000 to the fund balance.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 768, effective January 1, 2010, as amended, which currently reads as per Attachment 1, is hereby amended to read as per Attachment 2.

The 2010 Capital Budget total in City PAYGO funds - $27,640,000.
Section 2 of Resolution No. 768, effective January 1, 2010, as amended, the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation (the "Library") is seeking to fill a gap of $1.24 Million Dollars in their budget for 2010 or face the closure of various neighborhood branch Libraries, and as a condition of funding, the City Council shall require that all neighborhood branch libraries within the City of Pittsburgh remain open, and the Carnegie Library shall work with the City, the Regional Asset District Board, the State Legislature, local foundations and neighborhood community organizations to plan alternative funding to develop a permanent revenue stream as well as shared services plan to support the neighborhood branch system.
