Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works, to enter into an Agreement or Agreements, or the use of existing Agreements, between the City of Pittsburgh and 1) Juliandra Jones, 2) Najja Moon, 3) Camerin Nesbit, and 4) Mikael Owunna, for the creation and installation of public art at Homewood Park, at a total cost not to exceed One Hundred Twenty Thousand ($120,000.00) Dollars.

WHEREAS, Homewood Park is undergoing renovations as a project of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the budget for this renovation includes funds for the inclusion of new public art to be made onsite; and

WHEREAS, the Department of City Planning includes a Public Art & Civic Design Division that administers the implementation of City of Pittsburgh public art projects; and

WHEREAS, the Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the Department of Public Works and the Public Art & Civic Design Division, released a Request for Proposals to solicit for the coordination of the design, fabrication, and installation of this public art; and

WHEREAS, a selection committee chose 1) Juliandra Jones, 2) Najja Moon, 3) Camerin Nesbit, and 4) Mikael Owunna for the public art project implementation.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. Authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works, to enter into an Agreement or Agreements, or the use of existing Agreements, between the City of Pittsburgh and 1) Juliandra Jones, 2) Najja Moon, 3) Camerin Nesbit, and 4) Mikael Owunna, for the creation and installation of public art at Homewood Park, at a total cost not to exceed One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($120,000.00) Dollars.

Funds are available in the Park Reconstruction (BOND) line item, 2019 DELIVERABLE:
